Fasle negative? how long did i take you to get your BFP?

With my 2nd daughter I didn't get a BFP until I was 10+ weeks along. I was on Yaz. I thought that was the reason why I wasn't getting my period. At about 8 weeks, I tested, just because I felt some of the symptoms- heartburn, exhaustion, etc, but the test was negative. Two weeks later, my husband told me "you know, you look pregnant again." I tested again, and sure enough, I got a really faint positive. I was able to get in with my OBGYN six weeks later, they did an u/s, and everyone was shocked that I was already 16 weeks along, and were able to see that I was having a girl.
